About Me
Annabelle Kizer
I have a BFA in New Media and Design with a minor in Interdisciplinary Art and Social Practice from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Through my course work and commissions, I have become experienced working in many digital tools including Maya, Blender, Procreate, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Animate, Rough Animator, coding in HTML and CSS, and basics in Unreal Engine and Unity.
For ten years I was dedicated to dance, exploring movement through choreography and performance, and teaching others to do the same. After an injury, I began pursuing other passions and applying my experience in designing characters, scenery, and props for shows, to graphic design, animation, and motion graphics. I have enjoyed translating my understanding of anatomy, space, and movement into other art forms. Iām fascinated with movement and bringing stories/new worlds to life through visual media.
Questions I am currently pursuing: Art is the one true universal language. How can we make it more accessible and create lasting stories and moments to better connect with the world around us?
Current focuses are exploring experimental digital media, performance, and sculpture but I am always playing with new mediums.
